- World Hand Hygiene... 06.04.2023
According to the World Health Organization, handwashing with soap and water can prevent 1 in 3 diarrheal illnesses and 1 in 5 respiratory infections. Handwashing can also help prevent the spread of other diseases, such as influenza, measles, and pneumonia.
World Hand Hygiene Day is a time to remind people to wash their hands often, especially before eating, after using the bathroom, and after blowing their nose or coughing. It is also a time to encourage healthcare workers to practice good hand hygiene.
Is hand hygiene still a priority as we move beyond the worst of the pandemic?
The pandemic changed our behaviour, with governments around the globe encouraging citizens to take steps to prevent the spread of the virus. Mask-wearing became mandatory, we were forced to socially distance or isolate, and take extra measures around hygiene and sanitisation to protect ourselves and the most vulnerable in our communities.
Cleenol’s laundry expert Ken Moss has dedicated his career in helping businesses perfect their laundry results. From optimising chemical dosing and analysing wash results to training and programming custom wash cycles for levels of soiling and water hardness, Moss’ engineering experience spans across five decades.
