How to Read a Chemical Label

Labels are the main way of communicating the hazards or risks posed by a substance or mixture. There are certain elements that are required on all labels as set out by the ‘Retained CLP Regulations (EU) No. 1272/2008 as amended for Great Britain’, now known as GB CLP (https://www.hse.gov.uk/chemical-classification/legal/clp-regulation.htm).
