On World Asthma Day (May 2 2023) and throughout May, people with asthma and organisations dedicated to asthma control and education join together to increase awareness about asthma and improve the lives of all people with asthma. It is organised by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) (www.ginasthma.org), a World Health Organization collaborative organisation founded in 1993.
The World Health Organisation estimates that 235 million people suffer from asthma globally, highlighting the importance of this event in raising asthma awareness.
Approximately 1.1 million of these people live in the UK, and this event is the perfect chance to raise awareness about asthma, its effects, and potential treatments. VOC exposure has been associated with asthma, amongst other eye, skin and respiratory irritations.
However, different effects of VOCs on human health have been reported regarding the type of molecules involved. This is why our edencleen range of products is entirely VOC free.
