- Fostering Authentic Relationships: The Key to Employee Engagement
In recent months, our company has experienced significant growth across various departments, notably within our production team. As we continue to expand, it's become increasingly vital to prioritise our relationships with employees. Richard Branson once famously said, "If you look after your staff, they'll look after your customers. It's really that simple." This quote encapsulates our belief in the importance of fostering genuine connections with our team members. To further strengthen these bonds and nurture authentic relationships, our Managing Director, Sam Greaves, alongside the Senior Management team, organised a special outing for our hardworking production staff. Gathering at one of Banbury's local restaurants, we shared a well-deserved meal and moments of camaraderie over a delicious curry. This gesture was more than just a team-building exercise; it was a reflection of our commitment to giving back to our employees. We understand that investing in our team's well-being and fostering a sense of belonging not only boosts morale but also enhances productivity and overall job satisfaction. Despite indulging in a few too many beers, we were thrilled to witness a full turnout the following day. This reaffirmed our belief that when employees feel valued and supported, they are more motivated to contribute their best to the company's success. At Cleenol, we recognise that our employees are our greatest asset. By prioritising authentic relationships we hope to continue creating a positive work environment where everyone thrives.

- Testing our Comfort Zone / Going to New Places
In the fast-paced world of business, it's easy to fall into the trap of routine and familiarity. However, at Cleenol, we believe in the power of pushing boundaries and stepping outside of our comfort zones to foster growth and innovation. This principle was front and centre at our recent quarterly sales meeting, where we embarked on a journey of exploration and self-discovery under the theme of 'Testing our Comfort Zone / Going to New Places'. We used a new venue this time round which conveniently aligned with this meeting’s theme of testing our comfort zone leading to an early morning swim in an outside lake of 7 degrees Celsius! While it was a real challenge, it set the tone for an inspiring and productive meeting. We discovered a newfound sense of resilience and camaraderie, as we faced the challenge head-on together. We're excited to implement the insights gained from the experience and meeting to help propel our team to even greater heights. At Cleenol, we understand that true growth lies beyond the confines of familiarity. By stepping boldly into the unknown and embracing discomfort as a catalyst for change, we unlock the doors to a future filled with endless possibilities.

- Norovirus: what you need to know
In the fight against viruses, few methods are as simple yet effective as proper hand hygiene and surface disinfection. This is particularly true in the case of norovirus, a highly contagious virus that causes gastroenteritis, leading to symptoms like stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. In this article, we'll explore the significance of hand washing and surface disinfection in preventing the spread of norovirus, and introduce a groundbreaking product that offers additional protection. What is norovirus? Noroviruses are a group of viruses that can cause gastroenteritis, an inflammation of the stomach and intestines. This infection is often mistakenly referred to as the “stomach flu”, however, norovirus is not related to the flu, which is caused by the influenza virus. Norovirus can affect anyone and is known for its rapid transmission, especially in crowded, high-traffic environments. It's resilient and can survive on surfaces for days, making contamination a constant risk. The symptoms are unpleasant and can lead to severe dehydration, especially in vulnerable populations like the elderly and young children. Hand Washing: Your First Line of Defence Regular hand washing with soap and water is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of norovirus. It's especially important after using the toilet and before eating or preparing food. Thorough hand washing for at least 20 seconds is key to remove and eliminate the virus from skin. The Importance of Surface Disinfection In environments such as schools, it’s difficult to ensure correct hand hygiene practices are followed, particularly with younger children, so the risk of spreading norovirus increases. Norovirus can linger on surfaces long after an infected person has touched them and regular cleaning isn't always enough; disinfection is necessary to kill the virus. Using a disinfectant proven to be effective against norovirus on frequently touched surfaces like door handles, push plates, light switches, and food contact surfaces will drastically reduce the risk of contamination. Conclusion The combination of diligent hand washing and thorough surface disinfection as part of your hygiene routine will greatly reduce the spread of norovirus, other viruses and bacteria to ensure you create a safer environment for everyone. Remember, prevention is always better than cure, and in the case of norovirus, these simple practices can make a significant difference.
